We exported users and files from another site to a new one and users can’t see their private PDF’s… it says: “file not found or inaccesible at path: XXXXXXX”

We checked the folders and they have different names that those the post is trying to reach, how can i fix it?

      Thanks!

      Hi,

It depend how you exported the content. Was that a DB migration or an export through XML files?

If that’s a DB migration, you should also import the storage folder from your FTP to the the new one.

      I hope that helps.

      Regards.

we exported users and plugin content using WP all export, then imported with WP all import and uploaded customer-area folder to the new website file location

      Hi,

When exporting posts using WP All Export, you should have the possibility to also export attached post_metas.

You’ll need to export the post_meta cuar_owner_queryable which contains information about post owners (required for all our CPTs: private files, private pages, conversations, tasks, invoices, projects).

For private files, you’ll also need to export the post_meta cuar_private_file_file which contains the data about the attached files (filenames, paths, and so on…).

You should normally then be able to import the storage folder to your new FTP, and paths should be fixed.

Note: Do not not hesitate, once done, to also try to delete and reupload a file into an imported post to make sure the paths are still set accordingly.

      Best regards.

Yeah it exported all related post meta since we did a migration instead of a regular export (migration exports all data from the post)

Since the client needed the files asap, we just deleted all private files and we are manually reuploading them on each private file post for each user, which is working right now

Im leaving the topic open incase someone else needs help about this

Ok. Sorry it was not working as expected.

I think that the problem comes from the fact that exporting/importing private file posts generate new post_ids. Paths to the attachments are hashs generated from those post_ids. That’s why they changed after importing.

      Regards.
