    Hi,

I am having issues with uploading files while creating a new private file. I am sometimes unable to upload a file attachment. The file will appear for a split second at the “Attached files” section, but will then quickly remove itself again. I took a look at the logs but couldn’t find anything wrong there. What i did notice is that nothing registers in the logs when this problem occures.
The strange part is that this happens randomly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it completely doesn’t, sometimes it works half of the times.
Can someone help me to fix this problem?

    Hi

Could you first try to look for a plugin conflict? Then also check with another theme (like twenty twelve) if you have the same issue.

Also check if that happens with all file types of just some types, and the size of files which do not work.

    Hi,

Maybe also try to open the console (on chrome : CTRL + SHIFT + I, then console tab), and see if you see any red output error there.

    Regards.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick respond.
I did this and came across this error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 413 ()
    /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php:1

    Hi,

I already tried to put out all plugins.
But that didn’t make a difference.
I have it with all kinds of post types.
I didn’t try to change the theme yet because i am afraid it will damage my front end.

    Hi,

It looks like a server misconfiguration.
Could you please contact your host and ask him why you are getting a 413 error? A 413 error code means that the server is refusing to process a request because the request payload is larger than the server is willing or able to process.

    I hope that helps,
    Regards.
