Hi,
if I understand correctly you can set an expiration date to view the content. After that date the content is no longer shown.
But will the content still be seen at the back end?
If it were deleted, would the related status logs also be deleted? If I also purchase the fronted addon and my client uploads files intended for me, can I assign an expiry to that content too?
Will the category assigned to that file still be seen in the list of selectable categories in the frontend?
Thanks for support

Helllo,
Sorry for the delay.
But will the content still be seen at the back end?
Sure, you’ll still be allowed to view that content from the backend.
If it were deleted, would the related status logs also be deleted?
Status logs are not deleted when a private content is deleted.
If I also purchase the fronted addon and my client uploads files intended for me, can I assign an expiry to that content too?
Sure, and you’ll also be able to do that from the frontend, by editing the post, if using the Front Office Publishing add-on.
The permission to do that can be set from Settings > WP Customer Area > Capabilities > {Private files, pages, conversations, etc..}.Will the category assigned to that file still be seen in the list of selectable categories in the frontend?
- If you assigned a file to an user, the file can be seen from both the categories widget or the categories page.
- If you had also set a content expiry date, the file will only be shown in the widget and categories page while within the valid date range. If the post is expired, that won’t even be shown.
Regards.
