Looking for a plugin to mark files as read and unread.

My client, who receives files on the portal, wants to see which files have already been downloaded and read, similar to GMail, which uses bold text to indicate unread messages.
Is there any way to achieve this effect?

      Hi,

The “Unread Documents” add-on in WP Customer Area partially meets your needs:

      1) Tracking Read/Unread Status
      – The add-on tracks which files your clients have opened.
      – If a file is updated after being read, it shows an “Updated” badge to indicate new changes.

      2) Manual Marking
      – Clients can manually mark files as “unread” using a link in the toolbar.

      3) Visual Indicator
      – While it doesn’t display unread files in bold like GMail, it does provide a visual badge (“Updated”) for files that have been modified since the client last viewed them.

      Best regards,

Okay, is it possible for the client to create folders and move downloaded files? The client has more and more of them and would like to organize these files.

With the “Managed Groups” add-on in WP Customer Area, your client can organize files into groups instead of traditional folders.

You can create groups (e.g., “Invoices”, “Contracts”, “Projects”) and assign files to them. Each group acts like a virtual folder where files can be organized.

When uploading or editing a file, you can assign it to one or more groups. Clients can then browse files by group, making it easy to find what they need.

You can control who has access to each group (e.g., specific clients or teams).
