However, the categories to which the file is assigned must be different for each customer. Is it possible with just this addons or do I have to buy another one?
Yes, but not completely.
This should actually be possible by default, without any add-on.
An user can access the categories from the categories Widget. If you edit that widget from wp-admin > widgets > sidebar, you’ll notice a dropdown option to only display the category for which the currently logged-in user have some files. It means that the categories that do not belong to the user will be hidden.
However, when using the Front Office Publishing add-on and editing / creating a private content, an user, if he has the permission to do so, can select a category, but in this form, all the categories of the current private content will be displayed. You would need to extend / edit that part of code if you want to hide some of the categories, depending on the currently connected user.
