Wordpress 6.2 and PHP 8+

    • # 1 year, 7 months ago

      Hi,

can we update to WordPress 6.2 and set the PHP to 8.0 or should we wait the next update? In this second case, when will it be available? Thank you.

      Hi,

WP Customer Area is actually compatible with WordPress 6.2 but we have a release that will be available this month.

WordPress is still not fully compatible with PHP 8+ and I personally don’t recommend upgrading PHP for now. You’ll get many PHP warnings. The recommended PHP version for WordPress and WP Customer Area is actually 7.4.x

      Best regards.

        Hi Thomas,

when will the next update of WPCustomerArea be released? I thought it was in April, but we are approaching June.
        Thank you.

PHP 7.4 had an end of life over a year ago and end of security support almost 5 months ago. PHP 8.0 active support ended nearly 5 months ago.  Ideally this plugin could be migrated up to 8.2; is there a plan for that, is it still in active development or has it died?

      Hi,

I can confirm it is actually working on PHP 8.0.2.

I’ll take a deeper look at PHP versions 8.2+ and let you know.

      Regards.
