I have WP customer area set up and have assigned files to all logged in users. I added the Files page to the menu and renamed the menu item “My Documents”.
On my administrator account I can see this menu item, however other users below Administrator access cannot see this item in the menu. I have tried various visibility plugins but nothing seems to be working.
Can anyone help?

Hi,
You probably just skipped the capabilities configuration steps. You need to set permissions for the subscriber role to View Privates Files in Admin > Settings > WP Customer Area > Capabilities.
Do not check the View Any Privates Files for subscribers or they’ll be able to see contents not assigned to them if they’re aware of their URLs.
You’ll find more infos in our Getting Started tutorial and our Permissions Reference documentation.
Best regards.

Also,
Since you are renaming My Files to My Documents, you might also be interested in changing all the titles relates to “My-Files”. Please, check our Code Snippets documentation to know where to place those snippets. You might also want to rename the “My Files” page in Admin > Pages to “My Documents”.
Also, since you are customizing the menu, I would recommend to duplicate and rename it instead of just editing it. This menu will be synced with your add-ons if you add some, meaning some menu-items may be added, or restored. So it might be better to just keep the default menu as an example and duplicate it in Admin > Appearrence > Menus, and build your own customized menu from it.
Best regards.
