Account Details Headings

    Hi there,

     

    I would like to edit the headings of the dashboard to provide better information/support for any users that log into my site.

    Currently when some one logs on, I redirect them to there personal profile portal.

    Currently it has the headings of :  Dashboard Files(drop down), Pages(drop Down) and My account(drop Down). Please see attached

    How or where can I go to edit these headings so that it displays my custom headings?

    Would I require to purchase a premium version?

    Please advise as this is required for the portal before the site can go live.

    Hi,

    Those are not headings. This is just a WP menu that you can find in Appearance > Menus.

    Feel free to duplicate the auto-generated WP Customer Area menu to create your own.

    You might also want to add our code snippet for changing the titles in the private area. Don’t forget to check our code snippets documentation.

      Hi Thomas,

      Please could you assist further.

      I have looked under appearance – menus, but those options don’t appear.

      It seems weird that I would edit this under the themes function.php when this menu/dashboard was made available in the WP-Customer Area plugin.

      Which options are you referring to? You just need to edit the WP Customer Area menu if you want to customize those menu items. Or maybe am I misunderstanding your request?

      Hi Thomas,

      not an issue. every one needs a break.

      so if you go to the menu area in wordpress the WP-Customer area menus are not available.

      I need to edit the menu that is default on the private user pages. This is where they can choose to see the files that have been uploaded. for example, instead of “My Files” I require it to instead say “Invoices” as the customers that have logged in will be able to view invoices that have been billed to them.

      As in the attached screenshot it currently says : Dashboard, My Files-Files, Pages, My account.

      these would be the menus i need to edit/customize for my client.

      Hi,

      This is just a WP menu that you can find in Appearance > Menus.

      Did you try that ? Because this is still the answer to your question.

      You can edit the menu in wp-admin > appearance > menu > menu locations > WP Customer Area > then edit the attached menu and rename the menu items “My Files” to something else.

      your amazing!! i had no idea there was a WP Customer Area Menu.

      Thanks so much. this is exactly what i have been looking
