Hi Thomas, I attempted to send you an email, but I received a ‘Mail Delivery System – Undeliverable’ error, likely due to the attachment size. I’ve uploaded the theme and license here for you to download using this link. Please note that the license code may not work, as I am currently using it.

    Link theme + license: https://www.uschovna.cz/zasilka/QX4N32P3AAFE5V5U-LI7/

Again, I appreciate your help very much.

    Regards,

    Andrea

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you very much for such a quick response; I really appreciate it.

The theme we’re using is called FreightExpress – Transport & Logistics WordPress Theme, and it was purchased via Envato ThemeForest. You can find it here: https://themeforest.net/item/freightexpress-transport-logistics-wordpress-theme/53299542.

I’ll send the theme as a zipped file to the email you provided. Thank you again for offering to take a look at it. I understand it’s beyond your support scope, and I truly appreciate your help. I’ll also reach out to the theme’s author if needed.

    Best regards,
    Andrea

Hi, I have checked, and the issue appears to be due to theme and plugin compatibility. I didn’t see any errors in the plugin or conflicts with other plugins, but I did notice that when the theme is changed, it affects the dashboard page – I guess this suggests that the theme is not fully compatible with the dashboard section. Also, in the WPCA plugin documentation, there isn’t detailed information on the latest or recent pages/files page.

Could you kindly assist me with this issue? We really like the plugin and prefer not to switch to another one. Is it possible to make it compatible with our current theme, or could you recommend a version of the plugin that works well with it? Alternatively, should I try downgrading the plugin to see if that resolves the problem?

Hi, thank you so much, the issue is now resolved, as users can no longer access files meant for others. They receive a message stating, “You are not authorized to view this page.”

    • You did not properly configured the permissions. For instance, in Settings > WP Customer Area > Capabilities, you checked the box “view any private files” for the subscriber role, which is meant to allow access to any private content from the database for a given role. This should not be checked, except for an administrator, or a role meant to manage any private content from this post type.

However, this is still not the final outcome we’re aiming for, so I’ll do my best to explain it more clearly:

Issue: When creating a new test user with no assigned files and logging in, the user can see all recent files in the dashboard, even those not assigned to them (screenshot – dashboard shows files but I am not assigned any.png). While they can’t access the files, which is OK, it could still create confusion if we had many users. For example, if we had 100 users, each with their own file and page, a user would still see all 100 files listed in the dashboard, even though only 2 are accessible to them.

    Solution I’m seeking:
    a) I would like the dashboard to show only the files and pages relevant to each user under “Recent Files” and “Recent Pages.”
    OR
    b) I would like to disable the dashboard completely, leaving only the “Files” and “Pages” section, which correctly displays content specific to that user.

Our situation: We are a logistics company = only admin can create and upload files or pages. Customers/subscribers are not allowed to upload or edit any files or pages.

    Appreciate your help!

    Andrea
