And this is a support forum for paid customers too, or am I in the wrong place. Why do you stop people from editing their response after so many minutes, now that I’m making them public and can actually see my own posts? This is so manual and a good start I’m just making sure if I build in this it can support what I want, just basic default permissions for people who post private things, that means they can see them and so can admin. And again, please don’t gaslight me. I’ve opened multiple topics here privately I couldn’t see under “my topics” or “my responses”, until someone manually fixed those permission. I know what it looks like when that happens. It’s obvious. I’m just trying to say don’t gaslight me and I’m trying to do something different if you think I’m off-base. If this can support what we need with a little work, fine. I you don’t want to admit even all the api calls on various plugin admin pages qualify me for a refund if I want and want to even argue that doesn’t matter and I should just “not worry about it”, I just want to end this now and make it easier for everyone. I shouldn’t need to justify it and won’t anymore. We both need to move on, either together or apart. If it doesn’t matter refund now please. If you’re willing to look into and help stop the crippling api calls, at least the ones you control, I’ll at least understand and try. But I’m not going to waste time further justifying and retiterating or being gaslit.

    Thank you,

    Aurelio

The more I read the flippant, arrogant attitude in some of these replies I get more mad. I’m just gonna stop. Refund my money or admit at least half of what I’m mentioning is real. We’re not adversaries and people just wanting their money’s worth aren’t. And by the way even when I check requesting email replies I don’t email replies from this forum though I got the initial ones. Ghetto man. Just either help or give me a refund, please. I don’t need to be gaslit or someone to explain why my every issue doesn’t matter.  Be like the guy who actually apologized for the woocommerce api calls making plugin admin pages take 10x longer to load, because I as more willing to work with that than someone telling me “just don’t worry” about all the extra api calls on other pages or how I don’t really try to deserve a refund if it comes to that. I am trying and don’t need to be lectured if you guys really want to make this work. But this has to be professional or I have to move on.

And by the way, it took almost a week for my licenses to be activated after buying them. That is the kind of unprofessionalism I’m wondering about. Instead of just wondering what I’m talking about how about listen, or just refund my money? I don’t want to argue.

And do not gaslight me either. The reason I may be confused is YOU GUYS HAVE BAD PERMISSIONS IN THIS FORUM. I should not even see another person’s private post. Don’t even try. I know it’s a mess. I’ve experienced you changing it where then I can finally see my own private post. This is way to manual and unprofessional for my needs, unless you want to admit what I see clear as day and just go forward to fixing it, or at least quit pretending I’m crazy just trying to make this fit my needs.  I respect anything you say needs professional development. Do not even try to gaslight me on the bad default permissions you try to keep up on this forum, because if so I do not want to build my stuff like this. It needs to be smoother for end-users, and more intuitive. If I mark something as private here, I should not need to even wonder if I should check my next comment. I’m trying to explain down the line things but basically based on this forum I wonder if this is even the right platform. The other thing is all the flippant and unnecessary, and especially external api calls. Those are horrible and need to be fixed or I can’t work with this. It’s a security/reliability issue for one thing, with external access to an external website seriously controlling any site’s performance I put it on.

I tried to explain even on the file page admin, my site is hit hard because you guys check every single url combanation possible on some pages, those have costs. And the attitude was “don’t worry about it” when I reported it is unacceptable. I wouldn’t have even looked at much less reported it if it those pages weren’t crippled by activating these. I wanted this to work and still kind of do. At least the guy explaining about the plugin admin page doing license checks  every single refresh causing that to load 10x longer was nice, apologizing and saying it was a WooCommerce thing. I bough $600 worth of your plugins because together they have the functionality I require. But dammit, the forum sucks, horrible programming where half the time when I make something private I can’t even see it until you guys review making me wonder if I added it, making me know I don’t want to build with this attitude, and the other half trying to tell you all the api calls you act like I’m some adversary to blow off and convince it’s ok. I don’t need to be convinced not to care. It’s not ok, and I’m not an adversary. I was just trying to use this and I think you for telling me where it just need to be developed more is great, that’s what I want to know, but blowing me off on all these api calls that cripple any site I add more than 5 of the add-ons for different admin pages is a no-go. I work in the admin pages and I can’t work if me moving around fixing things takes 10 times as longer in a site I manage and am trying to fix if it’s built with this as critical. If I build it off this as the primary, this CAN’T be the thing I have to disable to troubleshoot any other thing because of all the api url calls external or otherwise making working in the admin plugin pages extra painful.

I already did this. I can feel it in every single page on this forum too. You guys have a bad programming attitude. I already put it in different support pages along with actual page return info. It’s all the license checks. It’s insane and horrible. I can feel it in almost every single page on this forum too. The reason I want nothing to do with you guys is the flippant attitude that I should just ignore it. It cripples any site these are activated on, if you even add a few. I’ve documented this many times.

I just can’t do this. The support forum permissions are too messed and manual for me. If I set a topic or reply private, half the time I can’t even go back and see it myself until you guys review it. It’s not because isn’t loading or refreshed, it’s because the permissions of the private post do not let even me see a reply or post I created as private I just meant not open to other members.  It makes me question if I even posted something.  That is not the behavior I want from what we’re building and replacing.  If someone marks something private that means it should just automatically only be visible to them and authorized admin, not so they can’t even see it until an admin does something.  I’ve posted multiple things here thinking I’m crazy because I can’t see them only for them to show up once you approve and reply. Even these ones half the time I came to the topics I started they were blank, not page not loaded, but me not authorized to see anything or reply, but saying there were items before I click, but when I click it’s blank except a notice that I don’t have permission to reply, when I’m clearly logged in.  That’s not what my customers will think should happen when they mark private.  I didn’t realize I’m just looking for something different.  I had no way of knowing this from the free plugin, which looks very great but I just need to go another direction having given the premium plugins a good try and it’s already clear these have quirks and drawbacks currently that do not make it suitable for what I am currently building.  I put a link of how one topic I opened to looks to me, logged in.  If it’s like the others some adjustment will be made and then I will be able to see the posts and reply to the topic I opened. That alone has caused me a lot of frustration and confusing, the permissions of private posts to the forum just being confusing to me to even see what I post when I mark it private half the time until admin does something.

Between that and some of the admin pages consistently taking 10 times what they do to load when plugin and all the add-ins for the functionality we want aren’t activated, I just know this is not going to work.

    Thank you.

This simply does not meet my needs.  It makes multiple unnecessary API calls crippling my website. On another ticket they already explained you cannot fix this. Also, I found out why I got so frustrated from this forum. The permissions are set up very non-intuitive.  I can’t even see a different ticket I opened private. When I open or reply private I don’t mean to make it so I can’t see it. Please, this has been a huge hassle and does not meet my needs. please just refund it.  I can’t waste any more time trying to make this work and the support forum just makes it hard because it’s clunky. Obvously if this is built from this plugin by people who know it way better than me this is not going to meet my needs right now. The forum permissions are not right and it just makes it frustrating to even see what I posted sometimes. It’s to manual on the back-end. I did not know all the premium plugins would cripple the admin area so much from all the api calls.  I need to invest this money in something else and just move on. Thank you.

I’m sorry for my frustration.  I’ve used plenty of support systems and don’t know why I’m having problems with this. I can’t tell if replies are automatically private if the topic is private, since there is an unchecked “set this as private reply” under the private topic but would assume all replies are private to a private topic but am clicking it just in case.  Last time I tried that and added a lot of information it took me a long time to write, just gone. I don’t see the reply and now that topic is closed so I must have done something wrong like check close as well but I don’t know why the whole reply I took a lot of time to gather information into would be gone too.

I will try to re-iterate, one thing happening is, on the file setup page, where you adjust the location file storage, instead of looking in the location outside the directory I set (as recommended by the plugin), it’s just adding things to the end of the public url doing all kinds of api calls testing different locations which make it look like errors freezing the page loads.

The initial public location set by default was /home/bitpath/public_html/customer-area. As recommended on that admin page, we created a folder outside the publicly available area (/home/bitpath/seccon/customer-area/) for both the storage and sftp-uploads folder.  Instead of only looking in that folder, it’s firing api calls adding suffixes to the public url and pulling up errors testing various locations every time I load that page to review/adjust.  The full rage of api calls of this testing when working in that admin area is:

I apologize if it’s just me not understanding something. We are on a tight deadline to see if this will fit our needs or refund ASAP and there was an original delay getting help because of the holidays and now I’m stressed trying to evaluate this in time because we do not want to lose our chance to get a refund if this won’t meet our needs.  Does it sound like we can customize this for what we need and anything I can do to limit these api calls would help too. I understand you may not control that so I’m hoping maybe if I build a super-simple interface that avoids admin pages altogether I can use this to create the kind of dashboards that make things real simple for some end users.  One other thing is we do not want file uploads to take multiple pages and steps and options in many cases. In many case we just want a simple file upload html5 canvas above a listing of secure files right on their single-page dashboard, organized by private personal first and then ones assigned to their security groups. We don’t want them to click a different button to go to a page to add a title and description, then click next to choose permission, then next to add the files. Some of our clients are used to things being very simple and straight-forward, they log in, see their secure files on the front page dashboard, drag any new files they need to the top, the page refreshes and they see all their files including the new ones.  Partners that have access to their specific client security circle/group, like employers/partners/etc. then see those files that they share as well, all done from a single page dashboard, no looking for “file-new” from a drop down on a different page or tab. They can’t use the toolbar because that goes to the backend dashboard which we don’t even show them. Their “client dashboard” is a simple front-end, one-page area.  When they upload files they have a simple option to drag files onto a canvas right from their dashboard, and click upload and things are done per the permissions and groups we set for them, now listed in their files.  I love the extended functionality and complexity this looks like it will allow, but I can’t sacrifice the simplicity for some of our clients because I know they’ll get mad and annoyed at the upgrade so I am hoping this will let me do things the simple way as mentioned above for those situations as well as give us the advanced functionality I know I see here.  I need to avoid two different systems though. I can’t maintain two completely different platforms for the simpler situations and one for the more advanced, and if possibly I’d like to use this for both scenarios and just focus on developing the scenarios we need in this, unless what I’m describing just is not a good fit for this and you see no way of me using this for it within the return timeframe, to know for sure if this is the new platform for us for the next year and possibly beyond.

Thank you for taking the time to hear these concerns and I look forward to your guidance.

The issue I had was fixed. I apologize for asking on this thread before I figured out where to open a new ticket.
    Thank you so much.

Hi. All is fixed. Thank you so much.  I apologize for first appending to another topic before opening this one. I believe I just didn’t scroll down enough to see how to open a ticket, but this seems fixed now. Thank you again.

Just to confirm, I did get an email response from support saying it should not be an issue. I followed the instructions and the system is still restricting me to one activation per plugin.  I am using the “master key” provided in the API section, where all the plugins were saying I only had one activation available per plugin. Everything but the Divi fix plugin appears to be limiting me to a single site and activation at a time which means I can’t develop as I need to. We got the developer so we’d have unlimited activations and the plan is for me to develop on a different site testing things out  and incorporating parts into a larger site as things are tested and vetted.  Because I can only have one activation of any particular plugin at a time I can’t do this correctly. I apologize but could this be fixed please?

    Thank you,

Hi. This same thing is happening to me, but with the Developer licenses I think.  I purchased the unlimited activation/Developer version of all the plugins we need but they’re saying there’s only one activation available each for the various plugins.  It doesn’t seem like I have access to create forum/support topics either but I appear to be able to add to this seemingly related post with a similar license issue.  I sent a couple emails but I realize that was over the weekend.  Will you please help or confirm you got this, orif I’m doing something wrong?

    Thank you!
