    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out  to us. You can write inside the public_html, private_html and tmp folder only.  if you want to restrict the files so they cannot the accessible from the browser, you can place the files inside the private_html folder.  as this folder is not accessible from the browser.

however, can you  please share the  replication steps  and path where you are creating the folder so we can check the issue at our end.

    Regards,
    Zeeshan Kareem

They have gotten back to me, tried their suggestion but I’m still getting the not secure notification…

    Thoughts?

thanks for your reply, I was in touch with cloudways (my hosting provider) since I was not able to create folders in the root, through FTP; while tackling this they said wordpress users would not be able to access files within the root folder, so I’m curious to get your feedback to try and secure the files asap

getting them on amazon S3 would be an ideal solution, but I’m not sure if this is feasible.

thanks and have a great weekend
