Permalinks missing

      Hi,
since updating Customer Area to Version 8.1.2 permalinks in backend don`t show anymore, neither in “private file” nor “private pages” edit-screen.

Before it showed up under the title like in normal wordpress post or pages.

We used to copy the permalink form there to send it to our customers.

      Add-ons:
      Authentication Forms Version 6.0.2
      Enhanced Files Version 3.0.2

I also deactivated main plugin and add-ons and reactivated in correct order, but it didn`t help.

Any hint about to show permalinks again would be useful. Thank you very much.

      Hi,

Could you first try to check for a plugin conflict? I suspect that a page builder or one of your plugin is removing that.

      Regards.

      Hi Thomas,

      thanks for replying.

I testet for plugin conflict but the issue remained.

When I downgrade WPCustomerArea to Version 7.5.1 the permalinks show up again as normal underneath the title-field. But that`s not a good solution as it seems unpossible to validate our current licences for WP Customer Area – Authentication Forms and WP Customer Area – Enhanced Files with that old Version of WPCustomerArea.

Any ideas how to get the permalinks back? “File” and “Page” must be a custom post type, where in the configuration of the plugin can we find settings for edit-view?

      Wordpress version is 5.9.3

      Thank you very much, Christofer

        Hi,

i just installed WP Customer Area in a blank WordPress Installation without any further add-ons and i found that permalinks are not shown either. So maybe this is not a bug but a “feature”? 🙁

But why would you remove the permalinks underneath the title-field? This was very practical for us to copy the link to the private files and send it to our customers.

        Thank you very much, Christofer

      Hi,

We did not remove anything, but it looks like you are right. I also saw that on another customer’s site, and you are right, I also feel this annoying. There might be a change from WordPress because that link suddently disappeared.

I’ll take a look into this next week and let you know.

      Thank you for the report.

      Regards.

      Hi Thomas,

thank you very much for looking into it. I had a feeling that this behaviour might be unintentionally. Hope you`ll find a solution.

      Regards.

      Hi Thomas,

thank you very much, but your link to the fix results in a “page not found”. Can you repost the correct link here?

      Regards, Claudia

However, you might prefer to wait for the next plugin updates. There are also some changes in the add-on’s files, not listed on that page.

      Regards.
