Training platform – help me find the right addons

    HI,
    I need to create a website where I, the administrator, can interact with customers one to one.
    in particular I need to create a members area that allows the user to upload analyzes in pdf format (which only I can see), and in turn, after having seen the analyses, I can create and upload a training card that the user will be able to download. I would also like the customer to be able to keep track of these documents over time.
    Which addons do you recommend? What is the difference between “Additional owner types” and “frontoffice publishing”? I would like to have something like in the attached screen.

    Best way to achieve this would be using the Front Office Publishing add-on which will let you publish private content like shown on the screenshot you attached.

    You’ll then need to:

    • set yourself as the default owner (in Settings > WP Customer Area > Private Files > Default Owner)
    • and disable the permission for the subscriber’s role to select an owner: This will hide the step 2 (Select an owner), and will assign any post published by your subscriber to you

    after having seen the analyses, I can create and upload a training card that the user will be able to download

    Simplest way in that case would be that you create a new private file post, and attach your document.

    I would also like the customer to be able to keep track of these documents over time.

    Not sure what you mean by “keep track”.

    • They’ll be able to see the whole listing of the private file posts assigned to them, or created by them, on the “My Files” page.
    • You could also consider using the Notifications add-on to let them be notified by e-mail when a new private content has been created and assigned to them.

    What is the difference between “Additional owner types” and “frontoffice publishing”

    • The Front Office Publishing creates additional frontend pages (and permissions), to let your users posts content from the frontend of your site
    • The Additional Owner Types add-on allows you to not only assign content to a single user, but to multiple users, groups, roles, or even “any registered user”
