Update after updating add-ons

    • # 3 years, 1 month ago

      Hi

I updated the add-ons from WP dashboard, without following the guidelines since I did not see them before. When I tried to update the main plugin I got this message: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

What would be the right update procedure now?

      Thanks!

      Hi,

Did you install our plugins by copying files through FTP?
I think that your plugins folder has too restrictive CHMOD restrictions.

You can change file and folders permissions through FTP.

Alternatively, you can download our plugin and add-ons as zip files, then connect to your FTP, delete any customer-area* folder, and re-upload extracted zip files to the plugins folder.

Then activate the main plugin. Make sure it doesn’t throw any error, then re-activate the add-ons one by one.

      Regards.
