    Thanks Thomas, I will give it a try and see how I get on.

    Unbeknownst to me that domain I had set-up had been earmarked for deletion, I’ve set it up again but hopefully I won’t need it.

    Hi Thomas,
    I have tried posting this reply several times now as Private and every time it is not appearing in the thread so I am posting it publicly as there is no sensitive information as everything here relates to a temporary site that will be deleted soon.

    While waiting for a response I have took it upon myself to created a brand new ‘out of the box’ installation of WordPress and the only thing installed is the WPCustomerArea plug-in and I am getting the exact same results.

    I have created two users Kevin and Robert. The log-in credentials are as follows: –
    Username: kevin Password: password
    Username: robert Password: password

    Each user has their own file assigned to them, and that file is only available in their own Category.
    But regardless of which user is logged in the Kevin user can still see Robert’s Category as well as his own, and likewise for Robert.

    Admin area can be accessed: – wpca.concepttestzone.co.uk/wp-admin

    Admin credentials: –
    Username: admin Password: adminpassword

    Yes your assessment of the problem is correct.

    FYI the WPCA plug-ins I have installed are ‘Switch users – Professional‘ and ‘Additional owner types – Professional‘.

    I would be willing to provide you with log-on credentials too if that would help?

    Hi Vincent,
    Yes this is my ‘go-to’ action whenever something does not work the way that it should.

    I uninstalled all of the other plug-ins to make sure that there wasn’t any conflicts and the issue remains for me.

    Hi Vincent,
    Yes I have already set the option to restrict the non empty categories within the widget, it has had zero impact on what is displayed as all categories are still showing.
